Live from Laurel Canyon
Live From Laurel Canyon presents an endearing evening of live music and narrated stories of some of the most influential songwriters who lived in Laurel Canyon in the mid ‘60s and ‘70s.
Laurel Canyon sits in the hills above Los Angeles and was a community of artists who created a new genre of music—Folk Rock— which forever changed the look, sound and attitude of American pop music. LFLC celebrates the Mamas & the Papas, the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, C/S/N & Y, James Taylor, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, The Eagles and America.
Their fresh versions of iconic songs, coupled with the stories which inspired the artists and the music, create an insightful, beautiful, humorous and memorable evening.
“Tight harmonies and inside stories from folk and rock’s greatest era separate Live from Laurel Canyon from other tribute bands…” – Rusty Young, MusicWorks, Vero Beach, FL
